Haddock and Mushy Pea Fishcakes
Dust the cake slightly with seasoned flour. Put the beaten egg in a shallow bowl and spread out the breadcrumbs on a plate. Then dip the fishcakes into the beaten egg and then into the breadcrumbs.
 
Hake with onion sauce
Season the fish with salt and pepper, add it to the pan and spoon over some of the onion mixture
 
Herrings in Oatmeal
Steep the herring in the milk for about half an hour, drain and dip in seasoned flour
